Medical Records Clerk
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team at El Centro Family Health. Our organization is dedicated to providing quality health care to the people of Northern New Mexico.
The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of constituencies. They will be responsible for scanning, pulling, and auditing patient charts, as well as managing the incoming fax server and verifying insurance coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Scanning, pulling, and auditing patient charts
- Managing the incoming fax server
- Verifying insurance coverage and printing encounters for scheduled appointments
- Projecting a positive first impression of the organization through effective communication with coworkers and the public
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years' experience, with at least one (1) year in a related field
- TST Test
- 90 day and annual competencies
Preferred Requirements:
- AA Degree or equivalent academic study
- Minimum of one year's experience in medical records working in a hospital or clinic setting
- Bilingual, Spanish/English
- Experience with medical terminology and health insurance claims, Medicaid, and Medicare
