Volunteers will be utilized in non-law enforcement support duties. Common duties performed by the volunteers may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Required Education and Experience
Duties are performed primarily on county roads, community events, and county buildings. Duties may require driving a marked vehicle and participating in indoor/outdoor activities with members of the public. Work may often involve evening and/or weekend functions.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Volunteers will be utilized in non-law enforcement support duties. Common duties performed by the volunteers may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist the Communications Center and/or SO front office.
- Assist in Intake and Release
- Provide support for Inmate Programs, including religious services.
- Other Duties based on operational needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- Must be a law-abiding citizen with good intent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age, 21 for some positions.
- Must be willing to commit at least 80 volunteer hours annually.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must obtain and maintain Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Compliance within six months of employment.
- Must pass background investigation, motor vehicle record check, drug screen, hearing and vision test, and truth verification examination.
