Key Responsibilities
The Sr. Accountant will be a detail-oriented and organized professional who is an integral part of our finance team. The position will be a vital participant in the corporate close process and will be involved with preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations. The Sr. Account will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy.
In this role, you will:
- Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly bank statement reconciliation.
- Assist with the month-end closing process including journal entry preparation.
- Track IT and capital spending.
- Facilitate audit requests as needed.
- Work with cross function leaders and provide applicable support when requested.
- Maintain records in accordance with company policy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- CPA preferred.
- 1-2 years of accounting experience
- Prior public accounting experience, preferred.
- Experience with General Ledger/fixed asset or ERP System such as BPCS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Large company experience in manufacturing, accounting operations or capital project management, preferred
- Understanding of US GAAP

Primary Location & Work Schedule
The Sr. Accountant will be based in Southfield, Michigan.
Work Schedule: This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring three - four (3-4) days per week on-site at our Southfield, Michigan location and one-two (1-2) days remote.
