Job Summary:
The Production Director is a dynamic leader responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of production, ensuring excellence in live, online, and recorded content. This role focuses on developing volunteer teams and empowering leaders to deliver high-quality worship experiences and events that align with the church’s vision of making disciples and reaching people for Christ.
Primary Duties:
Leadership Development
- Recruit, train, and empower volunteer leaders and technical team members.
- Build a culture of excellence, collaboration, and spiritual growth within production teams.
- Provide ongoing coaching and leadership development for System Technicians, Campus Technical Leads, Sound Engineers, Live Video Directors, Broadcast Technicians and Lighting Operators.
- Create clear pathways for team members to step into leadership roles.
Technical Operations
- Oversee all technical aspects, across all locations, of weekend services and events, ensuring flawless execution.
- Develop and maintain efficient systems for audio, video, and lighting production.
- Collaborate with ministry leaders to ensure production needs align with their vision.
- Manage equipment maintenance, upgrades, and inventory across all venues at every location.
Live Streaming & Online Broadcasting
- Direct live streaming operations, ensuring high-quality, reliable online services.
- Coordinate with Technology department on broadcast systems to ensure high quality of live stream content.
- Oversee post-production workflows for archived content and social media distribution.
Audio Engineering
- Ensure top-tier audio quality for live services, online broadcasts, and events.
- Collaborate with Sound Engineers to design and implement sound systems that meet campus needs.
- Troubleshoot audio challenges and provide solutions.
Video Production
- Oversight of live video direction for video content used in services, events, and online.
- Manage live video feeds, ensuring seamless integration with other production elements.
- Oversight of presentation, preparation, using ProPresenter or similar.
Team Oversight
The Production Director provides direct leadership for the following roles:
- Systems Technicians: Oversight of all technical programming and preparation for venues at all locations.
- Campus Technical Leads: Coordinate teams, equipment, and schedules for each campus.
- Sound Engineers: Maintain sound systems and ensure audio excellence.
- Live Video Directors: Capture dynamic and creative visuals for services and events.
- Broadcast Technicians: Ensure reliable live streaming and handle post-production processes.
- Lighting Operators: Ensures lighting cues are executed on time, troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications Required:
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing people.
- Proven experience in live production, audio engineering, video production, or related fields.
- Ability to manage and inspire a team of staff and volunteers.
- Proficiency in technical systems and software used in modern church production (e.g., ProPresenter, Dante, Resolume, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
