Summary of Job
Lead a team of warehouse leads and forklift drivers to move and organize materials in an accurate and safely manner. The Warehouse Supervisor is also responsible for maintaining material’s records, and overseeing the receipt, storage, account, and distribution of materials and supplies. This position interacts with other departments including shipping and receiving, pre-weight, and the production warehouse, to serve the needs of the production operation. Implement/make necessary SOPs and changes in different parts of the warehouse.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Ensures a safe working environment for all employees.
- Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Troubleshoots systems issues, which effect timely delivery and/or receiving of product.
- Works closely with the Warehouse Manager to control costs within the DC.
- Ensures the process of unloading of truck and receiving of product is efficient. Eliminate breakage and ensure all product is received correctly into the system, then placed in the correct location in the warehouse
- Maintains storage area and organizes floor space, adhering to storage design principles, recommends improvements.
- Collaborates with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments necessary to service internal and external customers.
- Motivates associates to ensure that predetermined productivity, cost, and quality standards are achieved or exceeded.
- Ensures safety and housekeeping.
- Trains new forklift operators.
- Prepares and submits daily and weekly paperwork.
- Recommends daily manpower requirements based on volume.
- Adequately carries out all activities related to security and quality of the finished product.
- Responsible for accurate employee records including daily time clock monitoring, discipline notification and attendance reports.
- Complies and enforces Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
- Complies and enforces security norms and food quality.
- Performs other duties and special projects as requested.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of people management experience
- Application of Lean Six Sigma
- Knowledge of systems utilized as it relates to logistics
- Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS
Food Safety Responsibilities
- Follow all relevant food safety rules including SQF, GMPs, and Food Defense
- Report any observed food safety violations to Management

Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
