Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in operating CNC machinery. This role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. The CNC Operator will ensure that all operations are performed efficiently and safely while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and plasma cutting equipment, to fabricate parts as per engineering drawings.
- Perform electrical discharge machining when required, ensuring precision in the production process.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other measuring tools to verify that parts meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with machinery or production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and quality.
- Operate cranes and forklifts as necessary for material handling within the facility.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with programming CNC machines is highly desirable.
- Experience with quality inspection techniques and tools, including calipers.
- Ability to operate electrical discharge machining equipment is a plus.
- Proficient in the use of cranes and forklifts for material handling.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
