Overview
We are seeking a skilled Composite Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves working with composite materials to fabricate, build, and assemble components for various projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse environment and be proficient in using hand tools and power tools. Duties
- Preparing molds by cleaning and applying release agents.
- Cutting fiberglass materials to size using templates or measurements.
- Applying resin and fiberglass layers by hand or using rollers/brushes.
- Ensuring proper adhesion and removing air bubbles with rollers.
- Trimming and finishing the laminated parts once cured.
- Inspecting for defects and making necessary repairs.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery relevant to composite fabrication.
- Experience in fiberglass or composite work
- Knowledge of fiberglass and resin application methods
- Experience with molding, trimming, and sanding materials
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency with hand and power tools (saws, sanders, rollers, brushes)
- Understanding of safety procedures when handling chemicals and resins
