Metal Sorter

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Metal Sorter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sorting materials and ensuring that they are properly placed for processing or disposal. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to operate a forklift to load/unload material.

Duties

• Maintain cleanliness of assigned machinery and equipment.
• Maintain accuracy of all paperwork that is assigned.
• Ensure that packaging and containers are neat and orderly when ready for the next process.
• Ensure that materials are properly sampled and identified, when and where required.
• Labels, stencil, or otherwise identify and prepare containers designed to store material. Immediately notify supervisor of any problem, malfunction, or potential problem that may affect process, material, or operation of machinery and/or equipment.
• Comply with all written safety procedures, and work in a safe manner to insure not only personal safety, but also the safety of all others.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating a forklift, forklift certification preferred.
• Must pass alloys test for Ni and Ti products within 45 days of start date.
• Ability to read and interpret a wide array of different customer specifications.
• Competency in all aspects of quality, including sizing and defects.
• Continuously meet or exceed daily production targets.
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.69 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
