Polisher

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Metal Polishing Technician to operate bench polishing machines and perform various finishing techniques on metal surfaces. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with polishing, buffing, grinding, and working with different polishing compounds and wheels.

Responsibilities:

• Operate bench polishing machines such as Baldor, Dayton, and Palmgren buffers.
• Work with polishing wheels ranging from 4” to 12” in diameter.
• Apply and work with compounds including Picasso Blue, Tripoli MOCO Brown, Blizzard White Buffing Compound, and Red Compound.
• Use different wheels such as Scotch Brite 6” hard wheels, felt wheels, yellow buffing wheels, soft wool wheels, and Cratex coarse wheels.
• Perform various metal finishing operations, including buffing, cut & polish, highlighting, finish polishing, and grinding.
• Conduct sand blasting and bead blasting as required.
• Operate automated polishing equipment when needed.
• Work with precious metals, both plated and solid, ensuring high-quality finishes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating bench polishing machines and buffers.
• Knowledge of different polishing compounds and buffing wheels.
• Experience with grinding, cut & polish, highlighting, and finish polishing techniques.
• Familiarity with sand blasting and bead blasting processes.
• Experience with automated polishing systems is a plus.
• Ability to work with precious metals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift and handle metal parts as required.
• Safety-conscious with a focus on proper machine operation and workplace cleanliness.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
