Window Installer

Summary

The Installer will work with the installation team to install new Pella windows and doors in new construction and replacement applications. The Installer will also be involved in recovery situations. Must be able to work well in a team environment. Assigned tasks may vary based on business necessity.

Duties/ Responsibilities

• Reads work order form and other specifications to determine method of installation, work procedures, material, tool, and work aid requirements

• Secures windows and doors to walls/ openings, according to the installation guidelines published by Pella Corporation and within the quality standards established by Pella Corporation

• Cleans job site after installation

• Communicates effectively with customers and serves as a reputable Pella representative on all jobsites

• Demonstrates a commitment to the highest quality of work

• Works in a way that prevents damage to product

• Performs installation recovery work following installations

• Meets company safety requirements by keeping work area neat and clean, following safety precautions and wearing required safety apparel, and reporting any safety issues to the Installation Supervisor

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

• Collaborates well with team members and customers * Strong problem-solving skills * Adaptable to changing process and priorities * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency * Focus on details and follow through * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10s and 100s * Ability to perform calculations using units of money, time, measurement, etc. * Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, length, width, height, and depth * Must have a valid driver’s license

Education/ Experience * High school diploma or GED * Prior knowledge of general construction applications, terminology, and window & door applications and components are required * Prior experience with power tools is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
