Elevate BCX is seeking a full-time Energy Engineer to join their team in Portland, OR!
Elevate is a thriving Building Commissioning Engineering firm with a current team of seven.
Who You Are:
Our next Energy Engineer will be passionate about seeking energy solutions for existing buildings, have strong communication, collaboration, and client relationship skills, and experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications include:
- Must have the ability to travel to job sites with a personal vehicle (mileage is reimbursed and company credit card for travel expenses)
- Ability to evaluate energy data and correlate analysis to various building systems
- Effective with technical report writing and editing skills
- Punctual; understands the importance of reliability
- Knowledge and comfort with various building system diagnostic
- Experience with facilities and building controls such as HVAC and/or MEP.
- Experience in performing building assessments or building audits
- Experience strategically deploying and collecting data loggers
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Desired - Holds an energy certification (CEM, CEA, CMVP, etc.) and/or college degree in a related field is a plus, however, relevant experience to the qualifications above is required.
- Desired - Experience with existing building commissioning projects and project development

The Role: The Energy Analyst is focused on discovering, evaluating, and concisely communicating energy reduction opportunities for existing buildings. The role will include performing energy analysis, developing projects, and seeing them through to the finish line to help our clients achieve their desired outcomes. Duties may include:
- Performing energy audits and assessments
- Collaborating with building operators and project stakeholders
- Facilities evaluation
- Calculate the project energy savings and identify the goals for each project.
- Monitors systems to identify areas where energy is wasted or energy efficiency needs improvement, analyzing utility usage in order to develop conservation projects.
- Conduct regularly scheduled project meetings
- Desired - Develop cost budget for energy efficiency projects
- Desired - Existing Building Commissioning support
Benefits and Company Culture:
- Pay: Between $77,000-$110,000 depending on experience and qualifications
- Additional Compensation Opportunities:

- Schedule: 34 Hour Work Week baseline
- Location: Our office is located at 1028 SE Water Ave Suite 215, Portland, OR 97214 with regular travel to job sites locally
