Primary Reporting: Director of Claims
Compensation: $63,000 - $68,000 per year
Purpose: This position will serve as the initial guide for our QA and Admin staff in for individual claim files. The successful candidate for this position will be a subject matter resource for our QA staff on file requirements and provide support for our field and admin staff.
Position Duties & Responsibilities
- Build and maintain professional relationships with Elevate’s independent adjuster roster to promote professional development and personal growth.
- Collaborate with dispatch team regarding appropriate assignments to field staff and serve as a resource / backup for dispatch of assignments.
- Supervise the QA review team, including assigning daily claim reviews, coaching, and training review staff.
- Provide guidance to staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve claims efficiently and accurately.
- Package and submit interim and final work products to carriers; manage diaries, invoices, and file closures as needed.
- Assists review team handle daily file reviews as needed.
- Review large loss files and collaborate corrections where appropriate.
- Conduct weekly quality audits.
- Notify management of emerging issues or concerns on claim files.
- Highlight and report instances of exceptional performance to management.
- Collaborate with management to review and update client guidelines, ensuring compliance with carrier requirements and policyholder expectations.
- Conduct weekly open claim file reviews, offering direction to adjusters and updating files.
- Monitor staff performance by reviewing open and closed claims to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper use and documentation of claim files within the claims system of record.
- Participate in discussions with field and leadership staff to identify opportunities for improvement, refine processes, and support continuous development.
- Respond to client inquiries, research issues, and create resolution plans either independently or through leadership communication.
- Assist in designing workflows, processes, and techniques aimed at continuous improvement.
- Update and correct estimates as necessary.
- Perform additional duties and projects assigned by leadership, either verbally or in writing.
