What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager position at Eliant Trade Finance LP?
The Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant is a key member of the Eliant Finance Shared Service team, responsible for managing month-end closings, preparing financial statements and reporting packages, supporting yearend audit preparations, assisting with system implementations, developing and documenting processes and procedures, and contributing to ad-hoc projects across various Apollo Global Management (“AGM”) platform companies.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting for various portfolio companies
- Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial reports for senior management and investor stakeholders
- Support year-end audit preparations by coordinating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation
- Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity
- Assist with system implementations and upgrades
- Provide financial insights and support decision-making through data analysis and reporting
- Participate in special projects, including financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant work experience at one or more of the following types of companies: Management Companies or Operating Companies within an asset management or alternative investment firm, Public Accounting with exposure to financial services and complex corporate structures, Holding Companies with multi-entity financial operations, or Financial
- Services Firms with multiple subsidiaries, such as private equity, asset management, or investment banking
- 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within financial services, private equity, or asset management, with a focus on operating company/management company accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a similar quantitative major
- CPA certification preferred
- Experience working with NetSuite preferred
- Ability to analyze large data sets and build financial models.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

IMPORTANT NOTE:
The individual will be employed under a shared service model which provides services to other portfolio companies of AGM.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
