What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Support Analyst position at Eliassen Group?
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Application Support Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day user queries, supporting application operations, and ensuring the smooth execution of overnight batches. This role requires a strong ability to handle time-sensitive issues and maintain critical service level commitments.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $70 - $75 / hr. w2
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle daily user queries and support activities for applications and overnight batch processes.
- Identify, define, and implement monitoring and automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Address time-sensitive issues to uphold critical service level agreements.
- Maintain issue logs, knowledge base articles, and documentation to support ongoing operations.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts during production outages and communicate effectively with management throughout the incident lifecycle.
- Perform complex troubleshooting as a subject matter expert in one or more applications.
- Lead root cause analysis and problem management to resolve underlying technical issues.
- Collaborate closely with developers on continuous integration and continuous delivery solutions.
- Conduct production readiness reviews for new releases and validate the supportability of changes before they are introduced into production.
- Participate in application deployment and release activities.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Proficiency in Java, including coding and code review.
- Experience in a support role, with a strong ability to debug existing code.
- Familiarity with Splunk tools, JIRA, Angular, Oracle, and ServiceNow.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
