What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Owner/Technical BA position at Eliassen Group?
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Owner/Technical Business Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the product roadmap, writing user stories, and quickly identifying and responding to issues. You will work closely with stakeholders, application owners, partners, and development teams throughout the entire development lifecycle to deliver customer-centric value.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $65 - $70 / hr. w2
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to perform analysis, including gap analysis on internal systems and processes.
- Write user stories and acceptance criteria for new application features and assist with backlog prioritization sessions.
- Act as a liaison between business users and IT during design and solutioning activities.
- Document functional requirements and develop use cases.
- Provide input into test plan creation and perform testing as needed.
- Coordinate with project managers and application development managers on projects with overlapping impact and scope.
- Research system issues, assist with resolving problems, and document troubleshooting steps.
- Establish open lines of communication with internal customers to bridge relationships and exceed end-user expectations.
Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Product Owner.
- Strong research and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience with mobile apps and websites, tracing transactions, and understanding transaction flows.
- Experience with online ordering and understanding the user journey.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Dynatrace or similar monitoring tools like App Dynamics.
- Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development, Figma, Miro, Mermaid Diagramming, and Flowcharting/Modeling Tools.
- Experience in the Site Reliability Engineering space (observability, automation, and performance engineering).
Technical Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, and Office365 is a bonus.
Education Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in Technology.
