Sanitation and Housekeeping

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation and Janitorial Specialist to support our Quality Assurance (QA) department. The role ensures that all facilities, equipment, and work areas meet strict cleanliness, hygiene, and regulatory standards. This position is essential in maintaining a safe and compliant environment for our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular cleaning and sanitization of QA workspaces, including equipment, tools, and surfaces, to maintain hygiene standards.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation protocols outlined by company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, OSHA, or USDA).
• Handle the proper disposal of waste and hazardous materials according to company guidelines and local regulations.
• Conduct daily inspections of sanitation practices, addressing any deficiencies to maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, break areas, offices, and production-adjacent areas used by the QA team.
• Restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and hygiene items to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, floor scrubbers, or steam cleaners, as required.
• Work closely with the QA and production teams to identify and address sanitation concerns or areas needing improvement.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, procedures, and any corrective actions taken.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in sanitation, janitorial services, or a similar role in a regulated environment is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation techniques, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Familiarity with quality assurance standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., GMP, HACCP).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ability to follow detailed cleaning schedules and protocols.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, if necessary.
