The Sanitation Specialist will clean and maintain assigned areas of the facility and grounds.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Sanitize and continuously clean all commonly used areas to reduce the threat of viruses and germs. Areas include but are not limited to: break rooms, restrooms, conference rooms, timeclocks and other tools utilized.
- Performs cleaning, housekeeping, and light maintenance tasks and services throughout facility.
- Picks up trash and empties trash containers.
- Performs light repairs.
- Vacuums and cleans floors.
- Ensures that cleaning supplies are in stock.
- Make sure floor is free of obstructions, maintain good housekeeping.
- Follows all safety rules.
- Understands and follows Job Safety Analysis for this position.
- Wears eye protection and any other designated PPE.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Ability to keep the property clean and orderly.
- Good interpersonal skills with polite and courteous demeanor towards employees, visitors and customers.
- Works well as a productive member of a team.
- Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
