Job Summary
The Rental & Transportation Coordinator plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while contributing to department profitability. This position involves managing equipment rentals, ensuring timely delivery, and exceeding customer expectations through accurate agreements, optimized orders, and meticulous record-keeping. In this dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will focus on maximizing each customer’s order by optimizing product volume and pricing, ensuring on-time delivery, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Your responsibilities include selling and facilitating rental agreements, negotiating orders, maximizing rates, and gathering complete customer details. You will also manage customer accounts and process credit applications for new clients.
The Rental & Transportation Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that equipment purchased is delivered on time.
Key Job Responsibilities
· Coordinate rental details including equipment requirements, availability, and suggesting suitable attachments/accessories.
· Manage rental contracts and supporting documentation accurately in the rental and invoicing software.
· Handle contract amendments, suspensions, and terminations while ensuring timely equipment collection.
· Processing credit card rentals, obtaining prepayment and deposit if required, checking to see if additional equipment is on rent to customer.
· Organizing transportation schedule (i.e., coordinating deliveries and collection) and optimizing the use of haul trucks.
· Preparing equipment for rental and loading and unloading equipment
· Additional duties as assigned by department manager.
Requirements
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, technology driven, service environment.
- Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, verbal, and written, with management, co-workers, and customers.
- High School Diploma required.
- The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
