Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive wound care to patients, including assessment, treatment, and ongoing monitoring.
- Utilize aseptic technique during wound care procedures to minimize the risk of infection.
-Perform wound care procedures, including dressing changes, debridement, and infection management.
- Perform catheterization procedures as needed for patients requiring urinary catheters.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and prevention strategies.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in wound care treatments and technologies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
- Adhere to occupational health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner License
- Wound Care certifications
- Minimum of [2] years of experience as a Wound Care Nurse or in a related role.
- Proficiency in performing various wound care procedures, including dressing changes, debridement, and negative pressure wound therapy.
- Experience with specialized treatments such as Botox injections for wound healing or hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a plus.
- Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and diagnostic evaluation techniques related to wound care management.
- Familiarity with catheter care protocols and best practices.
- Experience in conducting clinical research related to wound care is desirable.
- Strong understanding of infection control standards and practices.
- Ability to perform procedures such as spinal taps for diagnostic purposes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's and reliable transportation.
