About the Role
The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective and existing clients in the technical and manufacturing industries.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can identify growth opportunities and implement strategies to drive sales growth within the assigned territory.
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, expanding the customer base and consistently meeting or exceeding individual and company sales targets within the designated region.
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy in collaboration with leadership and business units.
- Sales and Technical Expertise:
- Utilize in-depth industry knowledge to recommend technical and practical solutions to customers' electrical needs.
- Drive sales of remanufactured and reconditioned power distribution and control products, including switchgear and HV/LV breakers.
- Conduct site visits and job walk-throughs to ensure accurate and profitable project quotes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive business growth.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying this knowledge to drive sales and revenue growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience, with a strong preference for sales experience in the utility and industrial markets.
- Extensive product knowledge of electrical switchgear, control products, and electrical distribution systems.
- Experience with high-voltage equipment up to the 230 kV class.
- Sales and Negotiation Expertise:
- Proven track record of driving business growth, generating leads, and closing sales.
- Strong skills in negotiations and customer relationship management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); experience with CRM systems preferred.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and adaptability in dynamic situations.
