Job Description
To lead front desk operations, exceeding guest expectations by providing friendly, courteous, and efficient service while maintaining a standard of professional excellence for front office staff.
Compensation
$17 an hour.

Location
In-person in Las Vegas, NV, 89109: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
Responsibilities
- Possess the skills and knowledge to lead and support other employees, as required, to maintain efficient service.
- Pre-screen, orient and train front office personnel.
- Respond to guest comments, complaints, and concerns courteously and professionally.
- Check-in and check-out of guests.
- Know the status of rooms and individual guests.
- Secure reservations by converting telephone inquiries and walk-ins.
- Review reservations, checking for special requests or any follow-up required.
- Helps maintain all direct bill accounts, vouchering all bills and completing any required paperwork while backing up the front desk as needed.
- Helps maintain all reservations/marketing of the meeting room.
- Follow all emergency procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Direct or assist anyone who inquires about amenities and services in the hotel or its surroundings.
- Comply with schedule in accordance to staffing guidelines.
- Order office supplies as needed.
- When information in incomplete or irregular, take appropriate action based on company policy/procedures.
- Notify the Manager on Duty of unusual circumstances and situations.
- Performs other duties as needed, including special projects and responsibilities assigned by the Business Manager.
Skills / Experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming registration.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Literate and fluent in English.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks.
- Present a personable image.
- Communicate well with others and can speak clearly to be understood by guests.
- Team player with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train on PMS computer system.
- Must have mathematical abilities such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must be able to work with the public in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to promptly answer telephone calls using clear communication skills.
- Must be able to identify problems and quickly resolve issues.
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
Physical Requirements
- The ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
- The ability to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing at least 50 pounds and push or pull items weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- The ability to work in an environment with a moderate noise level.
- The ability to be exposed to several factors, including dust, cigarette smoke, and possibly various outside weather conditions.
- May include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on casino operating hours.
