TDM Facilitator

To be a successful TDM Facilitator you must become able to do the following always:

1. Ensure a trauma informed focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for staff and those served through knowledge, sensitivity, respect, and a focus on resilience and recovery.
2. Guide meeting participants through a structured, six-stage process that includes discussion of concerns, identification of strengths, and development of ideas and seek consensus regarding the least restrictive, best possible placement-related decision.
3. Model professional interactions and respectfully lead diverse groups toward resolution in an emotionally charged environment. 
4. Be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at once.
5. Have excellent customer service skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
7. Document meeting outcomes and provide timely documentation of meetings.
8. Ability to solve problems, while also having the ability to ask questions
9. Ability to maintain neutrality while facilitating meetings
10. Ability to manage emotions, make decisions under pressure and use discretion in decision making.
11. Effectively work alone and with team members
12. Provide regular feedback to leadership and be an advocate for system improvements that support best practice and policy development.
