Overview

We are seeking a PLC Programmer with experience in Siemens PLC to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming and troubleshooting PLC systems, with a focus on enhancing automation processes within our manufacturing environment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively with engineers and technicians to ensure optimal performance of our machinery and systems.

Responsibilities

Develop custom PLC programs from scratch, primarily using Siemens S7 systems to meet specific project requirements.

Design and program Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications, ensuring intuitive and efficient operator interfaces.

Collaborate on electrical design processes, creating electrical schematics and layouts for custom automation projects.

Work closely with clients to understand project requirements and develop tailored automation solutions, integrating custom hardware and software components.

Integrated third party sensors with the PLC system, program and test functionality and accuracy of new sensors.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLC operations and performance.

Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate Vision inspection systems into production lines.

Utilize tools such as an Ohmmeter for testing electrical components.

Document all programming changes, system updates, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical engineering, Computer engineering, Computer science, Electrical technology, Electronics technology, Control systems technology, Process control is required.

Proficiency in programming languages related to PLCs required.

Experience in Siemens S7 series PLC a plus.

Experience with SIMATIC STEP 7 and TIA Portal.

Knowledge of SCADA systems and RTUs, their engineering and development

Strong programming background and computer algorithm knowledge is required

Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation (E & I) principles.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members across departments.
