Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant in the Cannabis Industry to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records for multiple businesses, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, knowledge of Marijuana taxes as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Perform bank reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records.
- Conduct general ledger reconciliation and maintain accurate account balances.
- Assist in budgeting processes by preparing and analyzing budget reports.
- Manage corporate accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) in all financial reporting.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Perform account reconciliation to maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Collaborate with public accounting firms during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
Skills
- Proficiency in bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation techniques.
- Strong budgeting skills with the ability to analyze variances effectively.
- Experience in corporate accounting practices and payroll management.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and its application in financial reporting.
