What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Supervisor position at Emergency Medical Services Authority?
Major Duties and Responsibilities :
- Maintain an ethical, professional demeanor, and project a positive / system image.
- Serve as a team lead providing guidance in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, practices, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training Team Members, planning, and assigning work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems. May assist in hiring, promotion, and termination of team members.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety in accordance with OSHA, company policies and procedures, and other regulatory compliance.
- Oversee inbound and outbound shipments and ensure orders are received in a timely manner.
- Monitor and verify accuracy of outgoing and incoming supplies for proper counts and coding.
- Assess inventory counts on a weekly basis and order sufficient inventory to maintain required levels.
- Assess and maintain par levels of inventory for all equipment based on usage history reporting.
- Maintain logistics area ensuring equipment is serviced, and workspaces are clean and tidy.
- Service and trouble shoot medical equipment as needed. Work with vendors on repair servicing.
- Collaborate with departments and vendors including, Clinical, Operations, public safety agencies, and other allied healthcare professionals to address immediate and future stock level requirements.
- Ensure narcotics are housed appropriately and restocked. Perform narcotic audits twice monthly and report to the Office of the Medical Director. Monitor incoming and outgoing narcotics to ensure all inventory is accounted for daily.
- Responsible for monitoring inventory tracking software, Operative IQ, to track all assets daily. Report issues to the Logistics Manager.
- Adhere to and enforce EMSA's organizational policies and practices.
- Security and accountability for controlled substances as listed in "Exhibit A" attached
- Other duties as assigned.
