What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Support Specialist I position at Empath Health?
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Setup and deploy all end user equipment as needed.
- Installs, supports, and maintains all end user hardware and software.
- Responsible for maintaining inventory of all equipment.
- Supports other IT team members as needed under the direction of the IT Support Manager.
- Documents all problems and steps taken to solve issues to better assist in determining patterns that will develop, preventing future occurrences.
- Support users via remote desktop and in person as needed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - AA Degree or 4 years help desk and/or technical support experience required. BS Degree preferred.
- Knowledge of MS Office required.
- Microsoft Windows 7 MCP/ Windows 10 preferred.
- Knowledge of cell phones, HP, Dell and Lenova product lines preferred.
- Virus protection and Kace Help Desk preferred.
- Familiarity with Windows Active Directory preferred.
- Familiarity with VMWare Virtual Desktop Infrastructure preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Management tools
- Military experience a plus
