Duties
As a Direct Support Professional, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Monitoring vital signs and providing patient monitoring to ensure the health and safety of clients.
- Supporting individuals in developing life skills and promoting independence through tailored programs.
- Engaging clients in recreational activities that foster social interaction and personal growth.
- Maintaining a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Collaborating with families, healthcare providers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Documenting client progress and reporting any changes in behavior or health status.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
- Background in home care or caregiving is preferred, demonstrating an understanding of client needs.
- Ability to perform patient monitoring effectively, ensuring all vital signs are recorded accurately.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
