Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide essential support and care to individuals with disabilities or special needs. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' social interactions and overall well-being.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs and preferences.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.
- Support clients in community integration activities, promoting independence and socialization.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health status to the appropriate personnel.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in patient care and resident rights.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care, patient care, or working in a group home setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and resident rights is essential.
- Familiarity with assisting individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Certification in CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.

- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.

Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
