Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients, making them feel comfortable and welcome.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries.
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing and payment processing.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
- Assist in managing patient flow, ensuring efficient scheduling and minimizing wait times.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth and timely transitions between appointments.
- Collect and process patient payments, including co-pays, and assist with insurance verification.
- Handle patient communications, including reminder calls and follow-up messages.
- Manage office supplies and ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and stocked.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the office manager or dentist.
- Assist clients with paperwork, including consent forms
- Maintain a clean and inviting environment
- Provide general customer service and attend to the needs of customers throughout their services
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in office administration is a plus.
- Two or more years of experience as a receptionist or similar role in a dental or medical office is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, scheduling software).
- Friendly and professional demeanor with a strong focus on customer service.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance is a plus.
- Familiar with computers and scheduling software
- Excellent multi-tasking skills
Schedule:
- Full-time position, Monday through Friday (exact hours to be determined based on practice needs).
