What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Quality and Compliance position at Empower Learn Create?
The Director of Quality and Compliance is responsible for providing assistance in leadership in all operations of the program (long and short term) and maintains a focus on center wide quality initiatives and state regulations. These programs include, but are not limited to maintaining National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation, state of Ohio licensing and Step Up to Quality compliance, as well as supervision of the school-age summer programming. The Director of Quality and Compliance reports to the Executive Director.
Duties
· Supports the development, implementation and assessment of long and short term goals and objectives of Center operations.
· Assists with planning, organizing administering all components of Empower Learn Create, Inc.
· Assists with implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision for quality and compliance.
· Ensures compliance with all regulatory and funding agencies including, but no limited to Cincinnati Board of Health, State of Ohio Department of Job and Family Services ( Department of Children and Youth, OSHA, Bureau of Employment Services, Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation, Ohio Department of Teacher Education, the University of Cincinnati, Step up to quality, TEACH and NAEYC.
Requirements
· Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 3 years' supervisory experience; OR Associate degree with 5 years supervisory experience, in a licensed early care and education center or other early childhood professional organization.
· Two years teaching experience in a licensed early care and education center program, five years preferred.
· Experience with state licensing regulations, National Accreditation criteria and Quality Rating Systems defined by NAEYC and SUTQ.
· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
· Organizational, analysis, supervision and prioritization abilities.
· Knowledge of basic computer hardware and software applications.
· Active in community and professional organizations.
· Successfully complete and maintain criminal records check as required.
