What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Worker position at Empower Youth Homes LLC?
You'll work five days per week. Hours are 4pm-10pm and every other weekend 10am-10pm.
This position requires every other weekend to be worked.
Must be 21 years old or older
This position requires you to be a leader. You will be helping mold the girls into productive young ladies. This is not a babysitting job. It is a job where you are providing interventions and redirections throughout the day.
This position works with children 0-17. Predominately, ages 13-17. We will train, we are looking for individuals that are passionate about making a positive difference in the world!
We are seeking an individual that has a passion for youth, specifically youth who are in foster care. We are looking for an individual that shows a strong interest with teaching teenagers with the skills necessary to be successful with their goals.
In our operation, we are dedicated to not only taking care of the youth but preparing them for adulthood. We are positioning ourselves in the youth’s life at a critical period, where they must learn life skills and empowerment to best succeed.
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing care to youth of the ages 14-18 years old in a group home setting/residential treatment center. This position upholds the youth’s service plan and assist with empowering the youth through various activities. This position will monitor the youth for safety, plan activities, assist with personal care, education and participate with the youth behavior management.
DUTIES
- Monitor youth to accordance to state required ratio.
- Monitor youth for safety
- Provide transportation for youth to appointments, school and recreational activities
- Plan activities for the youth
- Document/Communicate the youth’s activities and behaviors
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records/documentation
- Work with the Youth’s caseworker and service team to best serve the youth
- Perform everyday life activities- cleaning, cooking, assisting youth with homework etc

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
