CHALLENGE
As Vice President of Supply Chain, you will oversee and lead the strategic direction of the entire supply chain operation, ensuring seamless integration of resources, goods, and information to meet production demands and organizational objectives. This role requires a dynamic leader who can shape and evolve both the team and processes to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement across all supply chain functions. You will be responsible for optimizing procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, and transportation, fostering cross-functional collaboration to align with organizational goals and performance KPIs.
In this position, you will implement strategies to streamline operations, proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, and lead the team through the complexities of today’s evolving supply chain landscape. You will also oversee contract negotiations for volume and pricing with suppliers to ensure a continuous supply of raw materials, while maintaining rigorous oversight of supplier performance, quality control, and service delivery standards. Your leadership will be pivotal in achieving operational excellence, cost efficiency, and long-term supply chain success.
- Lead and oversee all aspects of supply chain operations including food safety, procurement, inventory management, production planning, and warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with production planners, procurement, and inventory teams to maintain focus on the production schedule and minimize downtime due to material shortages.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and maintain resources necessary for establishing and sustaining an effective supply chain.
- Establish performance metrics to measure, evaluate, and compare factors impacting supply chain performance and drive improvements.
- Manage detailed inventories of materials and supplies at company sites and external locations, ensuring optimal levels to support production.
- Analyze current inventory and procedures and recommend improvements to increase supply chain efficiency and profitability.
- Develop and implement policies to improve supply chain efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Identify and optimize transportation routes with a focus on consolidating warehousing and distribution for cost-efficiency.
- Assess material-handling equipment and staffing needs, making recommendations for improvements in the loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
- Negotiate contract pricing for raw materials and delivery schedules with suppliers, vendors, and shipping companies.
- Advise the R&D team on the availability and cost of supplies and materials, contributing to new product developments and launches.
- Coordinate engineering changes, product line extensions, and pilot product launches, ensuring smooth transitions in material and production flow.
- Monitor and assess supplier performance to ensure quality and delivery standards are met and identify new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
- Drive operational success by ensuring the supply chain operates efficiently, safely, and reliably, aligning with organizational goals.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position required
- ERP/MRP experience required, SAP preferred
- Food Safety – Notify management of any Food Safety issue.
- Food Safety – Aware of empowerment to act to resolve Food Safety issues within the scope of work.
- Food Safety – Conform to all Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, customers and employees.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

- Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
