Accounts Receivable Specialist

OPPORTUNITY: ENCON Evaporators is a manufacturer of wastewater evaporation systems for industrial and commercial applications based in Hooksett, NH. We offer an excellent opportunity for a versatile, full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records. BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCE:

• Candidates with a Bachelor’s or Associate's degree but candidates without a degree who have extensive on-the-job accounts receivable and collections experience will also be considered.
• Candidates must be familiar with and proficient in billing activities, general bookkeeping, and financial reports.
• Candidates must be familiar with administrative tasks, phone systems and filing systems and comfortable with making collection calls.
• Candidates must have experience Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Excel and Outlook for extensive e-mail correspondence.
• Candidates must have a track record of driving results

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor and reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy and prompt payment collection.
• Generate and send customer invoices, statements, and payment reminders.
• Follow up and communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices and payment discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve billing and payment issues, including chargebacks, disputes, and refunds.
• Collaborate with the sales team and service department to address customer inquiries and resolve any issues impacting payment collection.
• Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify past due accounts and prioritize collection efforts.
• Maintain up-to-date customer records with accurate billing and contact information.
• Process and post customer payments, including checks, credit card payments, and electronic funds transfers.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues related to accounts receivable.
• From time to time, the A/R Specialist may be required to help answer inbound phone calls

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
