Job Description :
Lead and manage the Valve Workshop team to ensure the timely and accurate inspection, repair, assembly, and testing of valves and actuators, in accordance with company procedures.
Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting valve issues, ensuring effective resolutions are found.
Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of detailed valve inspection and fault reports.
Ensure full compliance with relevant regulations, including API 598, and enforce adherence to industry standards.
Actively contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on safety, throughput, and operational efficiency.
Maintain a well-organized and clean workshop environment, ensuring that all work areas and company transport remain tidy and compliant with health and safety policies.
Ensure safe and efficient operation of valve testing equipment, providing ongoing training and guidance to the team.
Enforce strict adherence to company health and safety policies, and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Supervise and mentor small teams of Valve Technicians on various projects, ensuring optimal performance and high-quality standards.
Perform additional tasks as requested by the Valve Workshop Team Lead or Workshop Manager to ensure smooth operational flow.
Strong technical background with comprehensive experience in valve management and engineering.
Proven ability to lead and manage a team, fostering collaboration and high performance.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
High attention to detail, with the ability to oversee complex technical work.
Solid understanding of valve testing procedures and technical specifications.
Expertise in reading and interpreting valve engineering drawings and measurements.
Extensive knowledge of actuators, instrumentation, and threaded fittings, along with pressure specifications.
Ability to complete work within allocated timeframes while ensuring high-quality standards.
Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications :
Extensive experience in the assembly, servicing, and testing of valves in the oil and gas industry.
Risk assessment expertise and a strong understanding of HSEQ safety protocols.
Certifications in COSHH, Swagelok / Parker Fittings, Hydraulic / Bolting, and other relevant courses.
Experience with pressure relief valves, pilot relief valves, control valves, ball / gate valves, and globe / plug valves.
Familiarity with gauge calibration and document control processes.
In-depth understanding of project requirements and work scope as it relates to EnerMech employees.
