Position Overview :
As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed, accurate cost estimates for a variety of commercial and industrial construction projects. You will work on projects that require both developmental and trade-specific estimating expertise. This role involves close collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to produce competitive and precise bids, helping ensure the success of multiple companies’ pre-construction efforts.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the development of detailed cost estimates for large-scale commercial and industrial projects, including both trade-specific scopes (e.g., electrical, mechanical, structural) and overall developmental estimates (e.g., land development, sitework).
- Analyze project plans, drawings, specifications, and proposals to create accurate and comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess costs related to materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Evaluate and review subcontractor bids, negotiate pricing, and build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Conduct site assessments to develop estimates for land development, sitework, and infrastructure.
- Participate in client meetings to review project scope, cost considerations, and any potential value engineering opportunities.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring that cost estimates reflect realistic project outcomes.
- Maintain a database of historical cost data to improve the accuracy of future project estimates.
