Job Purpose
The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial and operational performance of the revenue cycle process.This role involves optimizing billing, collections, and reimbursement practices while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Manager provides leadership and support to individual contributors within the Central Billing team and works closely with the Management team. This individual strives to bring out the best in the entire staff for the benefit of our patients and our business. Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the revenue cycle, including, billing, claims processing, collections, and financial reporting.
- Monitor and improve revenue cycle KPIs, including days in accounts receivable (A/R), denial rates, and collection percentages.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as payer-specific policies.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve revenue capture, reduce claim denials, and streamline processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and clinical staff, to resolve issues and improve workflows.
- Provide regular financial and operational reports to senior leadership.
- Train and mentor dental billing team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Recruit and hire new staff members.
- Oversees the daily operations of the dental billing department
Qualifications
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience:
- Prior experience with medical/dental billing
- A strong understanding of dental billing procedures, insurance claims processing, and coding systems
- Proven leadership and team management experience
