Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility is to support the accounting needs for several communities.
- Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and account reconciliations.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and journal entries.
- Maintain accurate filing of all accounting records.
- Review and manage accounts payable processes and documentation to support cost control procedures and risk assessments.
- Review and manage accounts receivable processes and documentation such as invoices, payments and adjustments, deposits, collections, and other irregularities.
- Perform detailed research where needed to resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and recommend necessary spending adjustments and controls to enhance overall profitability.
- Prepare 1099 worksheets and file annual 1099 forms.
- Assist with month end close, audits and other tasks as needed.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum AA degree in accounting, finance, or business
- 5 years of accounting experience with solid knowledge of general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Must be skilled in use of QuickBooks and Excel spreadsheets
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
- Experience in multiple locations and intercompany entries a plus
- Sound organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and handle a fast-paced work environment in a friendly and professional manner
- Demonstrate exemplary attitude, work ethic, and unwavering integrity
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
