ENTEK is seeking applications for an Electrical Drafting Supervisor role to join us on-site at our Lebanon, Oregon, location (relocation within 40 miles of Lebanon is required).
As an Electrical Drafting Supervisor at ENTEK, you will work with the Controls Engineer Manager to plan and direct the activities of the Electrical Drafting team. The Electrical Drafting Supervisor will lead a team of electrical drafters in creating and modifying electrical drawings and schematics for our projects.
Your responsibilities may include time and cost estimation, budgeting, scheduling, ensuring conformance to all performance specifications, and reporting of schedule and budget status to internal customers.
You will be expected to establish and maintain electrical drawing standards and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. Assign drafting tasks to team members, ensure workload distribution is balanced, and verify the accuracy and completeness of electrical drawings. You will also coordinate with the panel shop supervisor on the best design practices related to electrical panels and assist the Global Electrical Director in establishing one-line drawings for production facilities.
Requirements:Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering/related field or four years of related experience and/or training in place of a degree.
- Minimum 3 years leading an engineering team of 3 to 10 members.
- Strong understanding of UL508, NFPA 70E, and NEC standards.
- In-depth knowledge and broad experience in electrical system design.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design standards, and codes.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive in problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work in accordance with company goals and schedule requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles to complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced algebra, trigonometry, and statistics.
- Strong ability to work with concepts such as limits, engineering equations, and electrical load calculations.
- Satisfactory results from a pre-employment drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD Electrical.
- Familiarity with electrical system components, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Working Environment
The hours for this role are Monday-Friday, starting at 7:00 a.m.
This role is in an office setting and frequently requires sitting, working at a computer, hearing, reaching, and completing tasks that require using hands and fingers for extended periods. The incumbent will occasionally be required to stand, walk, and may occasionally need to kneel, crouch, and climb stairs. If this role requires visiting the plant and/or shop floors, wearing eye and hearing protection will be required. The role requires specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
