Summary/Objective
The Operations Manager position is responsible for planning, directing and
coordinating the operations of Entourage Events Group. The candidate will be
responsible for the oversight of all events and will ensure that quality service is
being provided to clients. The Operations Manager will perform the oversight of
set-up and tear down and event production. The candidate will be responsible for
guaranteeing the success of all events and will remediate any situations that arise.
The Operations Manager will work closely with the Upper Management.
Essential Functions
Interfaces with other management personnel to ensure smooth
coordination of scheduling and maximization of schedule adherence;
provides input on local conditions, identifies needs and receives direction on
real-time staffing increases or decreases.
Ensures communication of real-time staffing changes to all department
heads.
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company
employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working
climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity,
and efficiency/effectiveness.
Enacts contingency plans as needed; escalates and directs activities if
problems arise, identifies potential problems, troubleshoots, escalates
issues to other management personnel, and participates in post-mortem
analysis of problems providing input for future process improvements.
Reviews ongoing performance results to targets. Takes corrective measures
with authorization, escalate as needed.
Ensuring safe operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality
Plan effective strategies for the well-being of the company.
Enforce and maintain the operational systems, processes and policies in
support of company mission
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective mariner in
accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall
objectives of this position.
Participates in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning processes as
appropriate.
Projects a favorable image of the companies to promote, foster and
enhance public recognition and acceptance of all of its areas of endeavor.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, clients and the
community
Read and interpret paperwork regarding event specifications
Manage the operation of event set-up and tear-down i.e. chairs, signs, table
skirting, carpet, pipe and drape, etc.
Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully formed of all problems or
unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where
necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.
Performs all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently
manage the personnel assigned.
Labor Management
Maintains qualified staff through hiring, terminating, coaching and training.
Communicates areas of accountability and performance expected of
personnel assigned
Determines standards of performance as a basis to review progress of
personnel assigned.
Recommends pay adjustments, transfers, promotions and dismissals.
Fosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conductive to
maximize employee morale and productivity.
Develops individuals for future advancement.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Oversee staff in operation of a wide variety of equipment including vans,
pick-up trucks, and other vehicles as required.

This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for
leadership, performance management and hiring of the employees within its
department.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses
standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing
cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday
8:30am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job
duties demand.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area
travel and overnight may be expected.
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent or five or more years related progressive
experience.
2. Five (5) years of experience in Multi Venue management in an event center,
hotel, or other public assembly facility.
3. Five (5) Year’s experience as a Event Manager
4. Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel
5. Food and Beverage experience
