Position Overview:
In this newly created position, the Mergers & Acquisitions Manager (M&A Manager) will be responsible for assisting in the evaluation, structuring, and strategic analysis of potential corporate and private acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, strategic partnerships, and joint ventures across their Land and Resources Management division and be responsible for assisting in the evaluation, structuring, and strategic analysis of potential corporate and private acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, strategic partnerships, and joint ventures across their water resources division. The M&A Manager will also assist their in the development of its corporate strategy, advising the Company on items such as capital allocation and competitor positioning.

Reporting Relationships:
Reports to Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions
Compensation: $150-175k base and bonus.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Economic analysis of subject opportunities (corporate and private acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, strategic partnerships, and joint ventures).
- Transaction structuring alongside their legal counsel and potential external advisors (consultants, investment banks, legal counsel, etc.,).
- Creation and presentation of various internal and external presentation materials.
- Working collaboratively with their engineering, GIS, land and accounting teams as well as third party consultants (brokers, investment banks, etc.) to evaluate strategic opportunities
- Economic and strategic analysis directed towards the development of their strategic plan.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or any business-related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in investment banking and/or principal investing or private equity with a specific focus on energy-related assets.
- Recent and relevant deal experience underwriting and closing complex transactions.
- Strong financial modeling and analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant software tools.
- In-depth knowledge of energy markets, including trends, demographics, and economic factors.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, with a strong focus on results and performance measurement.
Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
