Director of Quality
Envision Technology, an innovative small business providing advanced electro-optical solutions for defense applications, seeks a Director of Quality. In this role, you are responsible for the implementation and management of the quality process from incoming inspection to final test. Individuals applying for this position should have the aptitude and motivation to proactively contribute to a small business culture from day one and grow with the company.
Responsibilities:
- Provide continuous improvement to the quality plan ensuring documentation is updated
- Manage failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action plans
- Supervise quality technician
- Inspection of incoming components against documented drawings
- Conduct final and in process testing of prototype assemblies and production units
- Process and provide evaluation of test results to engineers and program management
- Provide analysis in support of company production and quality objectives
- Ensure timely disposition of non-conforming materials
- Develop and implement both hardware and software system level test programs, plans, specifications, procedures, and customer acceptance from design verification through production
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to ensure company goals for on-time delivery, product quality, and workplace safety are being met
- Others tasks as assigned to meet the needs of the organization
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail, neatness of work performed and being creative
- Technical aptitude of electro-optical systems for defense applications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work alone and with others, with self-motivation and a can-do attitude
- Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and managing time efficiently
- 10 years equivalent work experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-810H considered a plus
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, keyboards, and quality inspection equipment
- Must have the ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs as required
Additional Information:
- Applicant must be a US Person.
- Travel to supplier and customer locations may be required occasionally.
