Senior Connections Planner
The Senior Connections Planner is an important component of any campaign or initiative, helping to define channels that best serve the target audience, the brand, and the idea.
We’re looking for someone with a combination of skills - you must be able to think and act strategically, assessing the big picture while also staying on the pulse of competitive and social media activities and consumer and industry trends. With a focus on supporting and growing social media clients, this role will collaborate across account, strategy and creative functions within EP Co to inspire and guide high-performing social media strategies and cultural activations.
At EP Co, we are a team of doers. In this role, you will be an integral part of campaigns, participating in strategy development, using research and your expertise to determine channel strategies and tactical functions. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, analytics, and has a strategic mindset to drive impactful paid and organic campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end social strategy for national clients and household brands, from initial strategy through briefing, and optimization.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for growth.
- Conduct thorough audience/fan research to identify new avenues for driving interest and engagement.
- Create content calendars to seamlessly connect social and brand activities and optimize engagement and reach.
- Act as a key voice and leader in client and internal team meetings, providing strategic insights and ensuring alignment across all aspects of brand initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate social strategies into broader marketing initiatives.
- Keep a pulse on ongoing content creation, ensuring it capitalizes on relevant moments, aligns with brand voice and resonates with target audiences.
- Provide strong insights and recommendations based on deep understanding of social tactics, channel opportunities, and consumer behaviors.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, algorithm changes, and emerging platforms to optimize strategies.
- Cultivate a strong connection to social culture, staying attuned to societal shifts, conversations, and emerging subcultures to inform and enhance the relevance of social media strategies.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred, ideally with a previous role of mid-level social manager or strategist. Agency experience is a plus.
- Ability to guide successful social campaigns with little to no instruction - including paid and organic social strategy, social listening, cultural shifts and trends, and reporting.
- Experience in developing successful social strategies and creative briefs that answer client priorities and inspire creative execution
- Strong analytical skills and a passion for leveraging research and data for detailed social media and influencer creative insights.
- Experience interacting with clients, with the ability to lead a room or remote audience through a presentation that influences others not just to accept, but rally behind a great idea or point of view
- A self-starter with a passion for culture, trends, and motivations in consumer behavior which inform and impact social media and influencer strategies. You scroll social media in your spare time, avidly consume content by creators and brands, and love diving into the latest viral trend.
- Digitally and socially sophisticated. Able to operate with ease across channels
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
