As a member of the Composite Fabrication Team, the Composite Layup Technician (Afternoon Shift) will work alongside team members to construct carbon fiber parts for an award-winning aircraft. This is agreatjob for you if you are looking for a career you can grow with.Other dutiesmay include:
- Assist in the preparation of molds and forms
- Mark and cut tape, woven material, honeycomb, adhesive and similar materials
- Lay-up composite materials following directions and instructions
- Vacuum bag parts for oven cure
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition
- Other duties as assigned or required
What You Bring To The Team
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Able to work as part of a team to ensure meeting quality standards
- High standards for following instructions, work quality and productivity
- Some lifting may be required
- Able to stand for the majority of a shift in addition to moving about the facility to support the work
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Self-motivated, self-disciplined, organized, and driven individual
- Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Authorized to legally work in the U.S. for any company without sponsorship now or in the future
- Entry-level up to experienced aerospace manufacturing position
- Entry-level positions provide a path for you to grow into an aerospace career
- Competitive wages: $19.86/hr. $1/hr. shift differential
- No experience is required. Seriously, none!
- On-the-job training and advancement opportunities
- Four (4) 10-hour days, Monday - Thursday, 3:30 pm to 2:00 am
- Hourly wage shift differential (more $ than morning shift)
- Three (3) weeks of paid time off (Includes a paid week off between Christmas and New Year)
