EPIC Early Learning is currently seeking a dedicated Temporary Classroom Assistant Floater for the Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) to join our team. EPIC is a private, nonprofit organization committed to working hand-in-hand with children and families to provide early childhood educational services that strengthen our Central Washington communities for over 45years. As a Temporary Classroom Assistant Floater, you will have the opportunity to work across multiple classrooms within our ECEAP program. Your role will be to assist teachers in delivering high-quality early childhood education to children. This may include participating in educational activities, aiding in classroom management, supervising children during activities, and ensuring a safe and organized learning environment.
Responsibilities- Assist teachers in executing educational activities and daily routines
- Help set up and organize classrooms for various activities
- Engage with children during playtime and support their learning experiences
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children during program hours
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Adhere to program policies and procedures
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to foster a positive learning atmosphere
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Promote a culture of safety, being familiar with and advocating EPIC's "See Something, Say Something" initiative
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid Washington State Driver's License & Auto insurance required
- High School Diploma/ GED
- Prior experience working with young children in a group setting preferred
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Genuine passion for early childhood education and child development
- Flexibility to adapt to various classroom settings and age groups
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Pay Level:
$18.37 to $21.68 Hourly
- 1 hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked
