EPIC Early Learning is currently seeking a dedicated Temporary Classroom Assistant Floater to join our team for a limited period. EPIC is a private, nonprofit organization that has been committed to enhancing the lives of children and families through early childhood educational services for over 45 years. Our mission is to provide every child with a strong foundation for their future by fostering a nurturing and supportive educational environment.
As a Temporary Classroom Assistant Floater, you will have the chance to collaborate with various classrooms throughout our center. Your support will be essential in helping teachers implement engaging educational activities and ensuring the children are safe and well cared for in their learning environment.
Responsibilities- Support teachers in the implementation of educational activities and daily routines
- Engage with children during playtime and educational activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Adhere to program policies and procedures
- Collaborate with teaching staff to create an enjoyable and effective learning atmosphere
- Communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Participate in promoting a culture of safety across all children’s areas and programs
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Be committed to characterizing a culture of safety within our centers, playgrounds, buses and anywhere that children may be present. Be familiar with and encourage EPICs culture of "See Something, Say Something".
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid Washington State Driver's License & Auto insurance
- Washington State ECE Initial Certificate or Preschool Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA). * Candidates who do not meet the minimum education requirements must meet this requirement within five (5) years of hire date, with placement on a Professional Development Plan
- Previous experience working with young children in a group setting preferred
- Ability to follow directions and work cooperatively within a team framework
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Genuine passion for early childhood education and child development
- Flexibility to adapt to different classroom environments and age groups
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus
Pay Level:
$18.37 to $21.68 Hourly
- 1 hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked
Conditions of Employment:
