Founded in 1894, Episcopal Homes enriches life and builds community with older adults and the staff and volunteers who serve them. Today, Episcopal Homes delivers housing, senior home care, hospice and wellbeing services to more than 1,400 older adults in St. Paul and the East Metro of the Twin Cities. Position Summary

The Foundation Associate will play a key role in supporting the mission of Episcopal Homes Foundation by ensuring the efficient management of donor data, assisting with outreach efforts, and providing program support. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date donor records, producing timely acknowledgments and reports, and supporting fundraising initiatives. The Foundation Associate also collaborates on communication materials, manages the staff scholarship program, and assists in various special projects. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of older adults while upholding the Foundation's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.


Schedule and Rate

  • Flexible hours between core business hours.
  • Hybrid remote scheduling is available with two to three days in the office.
  • $22 - $28 Hourly. Experience Compensated

Primary Duties

Database Management

  • Maintain database records including gift entry and donor information updates.
  • Produce and send acknowledgement letters to donors in a timely manner, staying informed on donor recognition and best practices and creating and updating text for letters as needed for specific needs/campaigns.
  • Manage ongoing database accuracy and integrity with monthly database maintenance.
  • Reconcile monthly donation reports with the finance department.

Outreach Support

  • Serve as point of contact for Foundation, respond to inquiries and phone calls as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with outside vendors such as printers, graphic designers, and other contractors.
  • Write and update website content, newsletters, annual appeals, and other special campaigns in partnership with the executive director.
  • Gather financial data and organizational information across Episcopal Homes for the annual report.
  • Assist in online communication and newsletter creation using Constant Contact and assist with events, as requested.

Program Support

  • Manage staff scholarship program including applications, communications, award committee, and tracking of fund balances (two rounds per year).
  • Process invoices for scholarship program payments and record data on online files.

Special assignments and projects as needed.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a fundraising environment/nonprofit.
  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Proficient database practitioner; minimum of one year experience with a CRM/relational database system, such as Bloomerang.
  • Knowledge of Constant Contact or similar online platform.
