Teacher Aide Position

Description
- Working with individual Special Needs students or groups on special instructional projects
- Providing the teacher with information about students that will assist the teacher in the development of appropriate learning and behavioral experiences
- Assisting students in the use of available instructional resources, and assisting in the development of instructional materials
- Utilizing their own special skills and abilities by assisting in instructional programs in such areas as: foreign languages, arts, crafts, music, and similar subjects
- Assisting in related instructional work as required
- Assisting students with specific health-related activities as appropriate
- Assisting in the supervision and management of students when assigned by the administrator of the school
- Other duties as assigned
- Small group instruction
- Typically split across up to 3 classes to support ELA and math small group instruction
- Visits classroom(s) on a daily/bi-weekly basis
- Works with students on skill development based on training provided (i.e. using canned lessons)
- Follow schedules around the building
