POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Associate Director of Education, the Instructional Design Program Manager will serve as a key partner in Equitas Health internal and external education efforts by developing innovative, standardized, and scalable in-person and digital learning formats. Housed within the Equitas Health Institute, this position will serve stakeholders across the agency to design, develop, and support high quality, learner-centered instructional solutions for synchronous and asynchronous learning. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to Equitas Health’s mission by consulting with various agency departments on learning content to improve, assess, and maintain internal and external capacity with a focus on customer service, accessibility, and desired learning outcomes.
Salary: $58,700-$73,300
Responsibilities
Training & Education Development
- Develop standardized templates and formats for internal and external education initiatives.
- Collaborate with peers and colleagues to promote quality assurance and continuous improvement of instructional content and learning experiences.
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of current trends and new developments in learning technologies through networking and professional development opportunities.
- Apply current theories related to teaching, learning, and cognition to agency practices.
- Convene focus groups with trainers across the agency to develop streamlined and consistent education approach.
- Collaborate with Institute’s Lead Trainer on creating and creating an outcome-focused learning matrix to market monetized trainings to corporate clients.

Committees and Strategic Collaboration
- Conduct targeted assessments of agency internal learning needs with departments including Human Resources, the Institute, and Gender-Affirming Care.
- Provide one-on-one and departmental consulting to coaching to department leaders and staff, on both strategic/long-term and needs/based/short term projects.
- Participate in agency-wide committees related to culture-building, public events, and strategic initiatives as needed.
Cultural Awareness/Humility
- Participate in agency-wide education offerings through the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to promote anti-racism and infuse anti-racist pedagogical approaches into instructional design.
- Stay up-to-date with literature and trends related to inclusive pedagogy, health literacy, and accommodations of different learning types. Develop familiarity with Universal Design for Learning principles and anticipate and design for learner accessibility needs.
- Engage with Institute’s LGBTQ inclusion curriculum to embrace cultural humility and active allyship as an Equitas Health staff member.
Assessment, Guides, and Reports
- Manage all aspects of data and evaluation of Institute and agency-wide training training standardization. This includes data entry, data analysis, data reporting, and curriculum modification as needed.
- In collaboration with Associate Director, co-create education and training guide as a reference tool for agency stakeholders.
- Work over the next few years with the Associate Director of Education to develop a comprehensive guide on learning and training formats available within Equitas Health.
- Co-manage an annual survey of learning needs, development, administration, and analysis.

- Undertake special projects as directed by the Associate Director of Education.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Higher Education, Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Black Studies, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, or related field; or 3 years of transferable experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in teaching, facilitation, and/or demonstrated skill sets in instructional design and educational delivery methods preferred.
- Curriculum design, development and assessment experience required.
- 3-5 years of experience coordinating events, workshops, and/or conferences preferred.
- Experience creating e-learning content and familiarity with LMS such as DL, Blackboard or Canvas.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting minoritized populations, particularly LGBTQ , HIV positive and BIPOC communities.
- Knowledge and experience with the diversity in a broad sense.
- Must have sensitivity to, interest in and competence in cultural differences, HIV/AIDS, minority health, and a demonstrated competence in working with persons of color and the LGBTQIA community.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must have reliable transportation and valid Ohio driver’s license.
