Description

JOB OVERVIEW

The Vendor Manager ensures firm processes, systems and assigned controls are designed in an effective manner. This position plays a significant part in institutionalizing the firm’s vendor oversight program and controls. In addition, this role will be involved in various firm strategic and tactical initiatives involving legal entities, forecasting and client billing processes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Manage the day-to-day elements of vendor management program through internal coordination with risk, finance and technology areas to assess vendor ability to provide sustained services to the firm.
  • Set up and enhance billing and crediting processes for institutional clients and their underlying customers.
  • Create and monitor exception reports to identify fee billing practices that are outside acceptable ranges.
  • Monitor and enhance reconciliation processes on revenue streams including fee based and lending solutions.
  • Forecast various growth and revenue models [business line, specific product] using grounded methodology that assists with decision making.
  • Track strategic project funding to determine spend rate towards goal achievement.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process.
  • Administrate shared services and legal entity expense sharing and allocation processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree in Business, Accounting or related field is required
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience required

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • To be successful in this role, you should have experience with and an understanding of the following:
  • Strong knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups)
  • Ability to analyze and organize large amounts of data and present status reports to leadership team
  • Basic Understanding of Supply Chain/Procurement Processes
  • Familiarity with Vendor Management Tools

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to speak and hear. The associate is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
