Overview
Eric'sons is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, analyzing data, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of purchasing processes, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for data-driven decision making. This position is a full-time, Monday - Friday position. Schedule is to be determined but should be within the core hours of our operations.
Responsibilities:
Sourcing:
- Source and select suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and delivery conditions
- Place purchase orders and track order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery
- Manage inventory levels to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs
- Resolve supplier issues and disputes in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
Data Analysis:
- Collect, extract and import relevant data for a Time Study project
- Collect, clean, and organize relevant purchasing data (e.g., supplier performance, pricing trends, inventory levels)
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations to management
- Other duties as assigned
Cost Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction through supplier negotiations, process improvements, and alternative sourcing strategies
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the financial impact of purchasing decisions
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and track their effectiveness
- Other duties as assigned
Daily Responsibilities:
- Orders for all three plants (GA, UT and VA)
- Inventory upkeep
- Monitor and update min/max for items
- Vendor upkeep and part assignments (linking their part number to E’Part Number)
- Negotiate spot buys
- Daily Time Sheet monitor time errors
- Daily time sheet duplicate validation
- Update employees in Smartsheet
- Update Projects in Smartsheet
- Load work orders from Share Point
- Departmental Support: Assist department members with daily administrative tasks
- Project Management: Lead and support special projects, conducting research and preparing high-level reports and presentations
- Communication: Draft and edit executive correspondence, emails, and memos
- Meeting Coordination: Organize and facilitate executive meetings, including preparing agendas, materials, and taking detailed minutes
- Document Management: Maintain and organize important documents and files, both physical and digital
- Data Entry: Accurately enter and update data in various databases and spreadsheets
- Document Preparation: Assist in preparing and formatting documents, reports, and presentations
- Office Support: Perform general clerical duties, including photocopying, scanning, mailing, and filing
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Provide support on various administrative tasks and projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or work experience in a related field
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Strong Excel skills a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate, both written and verbal
- Must be able to form advantageous relationships with all members of management
